10 filles et 1 garçon...

Je vis en ce moment dans une ferme à 30 min de New Plymouth et les propriétaires sont des chrétiens extrémistes. Je ne mâche pas mes mots. Ils lisent la Bible avant de manger et prient Dieu 4 fois par jour. Ils ont 11 enfants, 10 filles et un garçon et ils étudient par correspondance. Ils  ne connaissent pas Harry Potter et ne savent même pas que la coupe du monde de rugby va avoir lieu en Nouvelle-Zélande. Le confort est très minime ici, je dois aller dans une cabane au fond du jardin (désolée pour la référence) pour prendre ma douche, vachement pratique.

Sinon ils sont sympas et le travail à la ferme est très dépaysant. Ils ont des chevaux dont une pouliche de 1 an, un jeune bébé ! Ils me l’ont confiée pour qu’elle apprenne à être brossée et être avec des gens, donc gros retour 4 en arrière pour moi ! Ca compense pas mal l’excès de religion ici…

Ils vivent néanmoins dans la région de Taranaki, très connue pour son fameux « Mount Taranaki », certainement sur la plupart des couvertures de guides néo-zélandais.

Il y a trois autres wwoofers avec moi dans cette ferme, une hollandaise, un chinois un autre garçon qui vient de Singapour. Je touche du bois, ils ne sont pas cathos…

Vous n’aurez pas de nouvelles de moi avant une semaine je pense car le confort est très rustique et je ne pourrais pas retourner en ville avant mon départ !

I’m living in a farm that’s half an hour away from New Plymouth and the owners and extremist christians, I do mea nit ! They read the Bible before eating and pray for Godfour times a day. They’ve got eleven children, ten girls and a boy and they do homeschooling. They’ve never heard of Harry Potter and don’t even know that the rugby world cup is going to take place in their own country!! I’ve got the very minimum here, I need to go to the back of the garden, in a small shelter to take a shower, which is not really nice…

They’re kind though and there is a lot of stuff to do in the farm. They’ve got five horses including a little foan that’s only one year old ! They wanted me to look after her for a day so she could get used to human beings. I thnink she’s named after a character in the Bible (you sure ?)

Anyway they live in Taranaki which is quite famous because of the Mount Taranaki and you can see it from the hills close to their place.

I’m not alone, I’m with three other wwoofers who are really nice and funny, there’s a dutch girl, a Chinese guy and another one from Singapour, and they’re not religious at all !

I won’t give any news fora week because I won’t have any wi fi access over there, I’ll have to leave the family to get the Internet…
